Lindsey Davis Stover

Prior to joining Edwards, Davis Stover & Associates, LLC, Lindsey Davis Stover was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She served as Senior Advisor to VA Secretary Eric K. Shinseki for Strategic Communications leading coordination for all internal and external communications efforts. She worked closely with VA leadership to develop overall communication and engagement strategies to include strategic messaging and stakeholder participation. She led communications efforts on major VA initiatives and served as strategic advisor to VA leadership.

Lindsey also served as VA’s White House Liaison and Co-Chaired the VA Strategic Communications Council which serves as the governing body for department-wide communications projects ensuring efforts are consistent with the Agency’s core values and overall strategic goals and priorities. She also worked closely with the White House on major policy initiatives such as Mental Health, Disability Compensation, Caregivers, Post 9-11 GI Bill, Veterans Employment and special projects to include: Presidential Personnel, Joining Forces, Public Engagement and Communications.

Prior to serving at VA, Lindsey served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Chet Edwards, Chairman of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee, where Lindsey managed Congressional offices in both Washington, DC and Texas. She developed robust legislative and communication strategies on issues including: Veterans, Defense, Non-Proliferation, Education, Transportation, Energy and Homeland Security. Lindsey also coordinated the Congressional Appropriations process and served as staff lead for the work on the Appropriations Sub-Committee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs.

As Research Associate for Texas A&M University, Lindsey co-developed the POWER SET program- Powerful Opportunities for Women Eager and Ready for Science, Engineering, and Technology: an educational program that focuses on effective teaching methods to further develop science and math related skills and abilities of young women while providing supportive tools to ensure their success. These tools include: career field trips, speaker series, mentoring, community service projects, career ready programming, and scholarship opportunities. POWER SET is currently in several Houston area schools and continues to grow throughout the State of Texas. Lindsey also served as a Volunteer In Service to America (VISTA) at the Texas Center for Service Learning at the University of Texas focusing on revitalizing government and civics programs in Texas high schools.

Lindsey graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science and Masters in Public Policy receiving the Stormy Schoft Award for Academics. While in graduate school at Baylor University, Lindsey completed her graduate internship in Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s Senate Office focusing on defense and foreign policy issues. She also holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and she received the Donald K. Price Award for Academics and Leadership. While at Harvard Kennedy School, Lindsey was selected for the From Harvard Square to the Oval Office Program, a political practicum focused on developing women for leadership roles in government.

Lindsey lives in McLean, VA with her husband Jeremey and their daughters Emery (7) and Audrey (5).
